Worker Names Added to Web Miner
We have added a new feature to our 2ACoin Web Miner.
You can now specify a “Worker Name” in the web miner console to track the performance of an individual machine's web mining. Statistics for your web miner are then broken out and displayed in the 2ACoin Mining Pool Console independently for each worker.
To utilize this new feature of our 2ACoin Web Miner you can follow the instructions below.
Setup Web Miner Worker Names
For this example, we will assume we have two machines that we want to setup the 2ACoin Web Miner on. The following instructions will show you how to setup our 2ACoin Web Miner with two different Worker Names and then track the results of each machine on our pool's miner management console.
Machine #1 Setup
On Machine #1, in the next few steps, we will configure the web miner similar as shown below;
Steps
- Point a web browser to our web miner at address https://miner.2acoin.org
- Adjust the number of threads based on your CPU and work load you want the machine to perform
- [NEW] Now set a Worker Name for this machine (in our example we will use Machine01)
- Enter your 2ACoin GUNS Wallet Address in the address field
- Press start and wait for the graph to indicate that your machine is now mining
Now continue on to setup Machine #2.
Machine #2 Setup
On Machine #2, in the next few steps, we will configure the web miner similar as shown below;

Steps
Similar to what we did with Machine #1, we will use the same steps to configure Machine #2
- Point a web browser to our web miner at address https://miner.2acoin.org
- Adjust the number of threads based on your CPU and work load you want the machine to perform
- [NEW] Now set a Worker Name for this machine (in our example we will use Machine02)
- Enter your 2ACoin GUNS Wallet Address in the address field (this must be the same address used for Machine01)
- Press start and wait for the graph to indicate that your machine is now mining
At this point the setup of your miners are complete. It's important to note that you can setup any number of miners in this manner. Just give each miner it's own individual Worker Name which will enable you to track the miner's statistics.
Now continue on to the Pool's Worker Statistics page to see your individual worker stats.
2ACoin Worker Statistics
Once you have your machines configured you may want to doublecheck to ensure they meet the following requirements;
- Each miner has the same 2ACoin GUNS Wallet Address
- Each miner has a unique worker name
- Each miner is mining and showing statistics on the web miner page
Worker Statistics Setup
Now let's setup the Worker Statistics Page so that you can monitor and track each one of your miners.
- Open this link in a web browser – 2ACoin Pool – Worker Statistics Page
- Enter your 2ACoin GUNS Wallet Address into the Lookup field (this is the GUNS Address used when setting up your machines)
- Press the Lookup button
At this point you should see a screen similar to the following;
Worker Statistics Sections
On the 2ACoin Pool's Worker Statistics page there are the following sections.
Hash Rate
In this section you see the combined Hash Rate of all of your Web Miner Workers. This section includes;
- Current Hash Rate – the Total Combined Hash Rate last seen from your workers
- Average 1/6/24-Hour Hash Rate – shows the average hash rate for your workers over the defined periods of 1, 6, and 24 hours
- Last Share Submitted – how long ago the last share was submitted by your workers
- Total Hashes Submitted – the Total of all hashes submitted by your workers
Payments
In this section you see the combined Payments derived from all of your web miner workers. This section includes;
- Pending Balance – shows the outstanding (unpaid) balance of ARMS for your wallet address
- Total Paid – shows a running Total for ARMS paid to you wallet address
- Round Contribution – this shows how much your workers have contributed to this block's hashes
- Current Payout Estimate – this is the estimated payout (based on round contribution) for the next found block
Worker Statistics
This is where your new worker information will be displayed (notice highlighted section in above image).
In this section we breakout each of your workers to display the following details;
- Status – A green checkmark shows that the worker is active, otherwise a red X shows it is in-active
- Worker Name – The name of the worker that you assigned in the Web Miner (our example shows Machine01 & Machine02)
- Hash Rate – The current hash rate of your worker
- HR(1h) – The average hash rate for the last hour
- HR(6h) – The average hash rate for the last 6 hours
- HR(24h) – The average hash rate for the last 24 hours
- Last Share Submitted – How long ago a share was submitted by this worker
- Total Hashes Submitted – The Total Hashes submitted by this worker
Summary
Our Web Miner has been a fantastic tool for our users to start mining 2ACoin with their CPU almost instantly!
The latest Worker Name Enhancements to our Web Miner makes the reporting of statistics for your web miner much more detailed. Now you can track the performance of your workers and also monitor those workers which are doing better than others. Now that we have Worker Tracking setup, our plan is to offer you an option for Alerting You when one of your workers goes offline. Watch for this feature coming out in the next few weeks.
We hope this feature provides you with benefits to mining 2ACoin!
As always, please post any comments or suggestions you may have below.
Thanks
